Cathy and Nancy traveled to Dallas to attend and exhibit at the annual Jazz Education Network annual conference. JEN conferences are always great fun! Major jazz artists mingle with attendees (and exhibitors!!) during the day and offer stellar performances in the evening. Student and community jazz ensembles perform as well and we were able to take in concerts by jazz ensembles who have traveled to Europe with Cultural Tour Consultants in the past. We also made new acquaintances from the myriad of organizations represented at the conference who promote jazz education in the world today.
Several of our clients – who have traveled to Europe on one or more CTC Jazz Festival Tours – stopped by to chat with us at our booth including:
Andrew Surmani – outgoing President of the Jazz Education Network, Assistant Professor of Music at California State University Northridge, and Chief Marketing Officer at Alfred Music Publishing Co.
